On October 1, 2024 (Tuesday), we added a new Western-style dog-friendly room.
This will allow you to stay in a suite room, Japanese-style room, and Western-style room according to the purpose of your trip.

■Background of this project

According to the 2022 Survey on Travel Awareness with Dogs, 75% of owners answered that they had a strong desire to go out with their dogs after the COVID-19 subsides. According to the survey, "Do you have any challenges when considering traveling with your dog? In response to the question "(multiple answers are possible)", issues such as the lack of accommodation options in the first place when planning a trip, and restrictions on behavior associated with moving with pets (*1). The hotel has been selling dog-friendly rooms since November 2020, and its occupancy rate is increasing year by year. As we can expect certain needs in the future, we decided to sell additional room types.

■Points to enjoy traveling with your dog in Grand Mercure Minamiboso Resort & Spa

1． Room type that can be selected

All types of dog-friendly rooms are spacious with a size of 36 m2 or more, and you can choose from a suite room, Japanese-style room, or Western-style room depending on the number of people and the purpose of your trip. The guest rooms are equipped with cages, beds, and tableware for your dog. Your dog stays free of charge.

2． Gifts useful for staying with your dog (one toy and one snack per room)

Snacks are a favorite taste of many dog breeds, and we chose domestic products such as cookies, cheese, jerky that make use of the nutrition and deliciousness of the ingredients without using additives. We strive to incorporate the opinions of hotel staff who have their dogs and select one that takes care of the owner's health care about them. Toys are available to play from small dogs to large dogs. (Toys and snacks are subject to change depending on the season.)

3． There is a dog run with a view of the sea on the hotel premises.

There are two places on the hotel premises: a dog run with a view of the sea and a dog run surrounded by greenery, so you can let your dog tired after a long drive play immediately after check-in. On the floor where the dog-friendly room is located, there is a door that allows you to enter and exit the hotel directly without using an elevator, so you can stay without hesitation by other guests.

4． The Quasi-National Park, which spreads around the hotel, is recommended for walking with your dog.

Grand Mercure Minamiboso Resort & Spa is adjacent to the Obosaki Nature Park in Minamiboso Quasi-National Park, with an athletic plaza, a visitor center, a lawn garden, a promenade and an observation deck. You can enjoy the seasonal scenery and sunsets such as cherry blossoms and fresh greenery, and take a walk with your dog in a place rich in nature.

5． Enjoy a resort stay with all-inclusive

The accommodation includes buffet-style dinner breakfast, drinks containing alcohol in restaurants and lounges, large public baths and activities fully equipped with saunas, so you can enjoy a resort stay as much as you want. In summer (mid-July to the end of August), the pool is also available free of charge.
