On October 1, 2024 (Tuesday), a new Western-style dog-friendly room has been added.
This allows you to stay in a suite room, Japanese-style room, and Western-style room according to the purpose of each trip.

■Background of this project

According to the "Awareness Survey on Travel with Dogs" conducted in 2022, 75% of owners answered that they had a strong desire to go out and travel with their dogs after the COVID-19 pandemic converged. According to the survey, "Do you have any issues when considering traveling with your dog?" In response to the question "(multiple answers are possible)", there were few options for accommodation in the first place at the time of travel planning, and restrictions on behavior associated with moving with pets (*1). The hotel started selling dog-friendly rooms in November 2020, and the occupancy rate is increasing year by year. We have decided to sell new room types because we can expect certain needs in the future.

■Points to enjoy traveling with your dog in Grand Mercure Minamiboso Resort & Spa

1． Selectable room type

Each dog-friendly room is spacious with a size of 36 m2 or more, so you can choose from a suite room, a Japanese-style room or a Western-style room depending on the number of people and the purpose of your trip. The rooms are equipped with cages, beds, tableware for dogs, etc. Your dog stays free of charge.

2． Gifts to help stay with your dog (one toy and one snack per room)

Snacks are a favorite taste of many dog breeds, without using additives, we chose domestic products such as cookies, cheese, and jerky that make use of the nutrients and deliciousness of the ingredients as they are. Incorporating the opinions of hotel staff who have their dogs, we try to select one that takes into account the feelings of the owner who cares about the health of their dogs. Toys are available for small dogs to large dogs. (Toys and snacks are subject to change depending on the season.)

3． There is a dog run with sea view on the hotel premises.

There are two places on the hotel premises: a dog run with a view of the sea and a dog run surrounded by greenery, so you can let your dog tired after a long drive play immediately after check-in. On the floor with the dog-friendly room, there is a door that allows you to enter and exit the hotel directly without using an elevator, so you can stay without hesitation from other guests.

4． The Quasi-National Park that spreads around the hotel is recommended for a walk with your dog

Grand Mercure Minamiboso Resort & Spa is adjacent to the Obosaki Nature Park in Minamiboso Quasi-National Park. The park has a sports plaza, a visitor center, a lawn garden, a promenade and an observation deck. You can enjoy the seasonal scenery and sunsets such as cherry blossoms and fresh greenery, and take a walk with your dog in a place rich in nature.

5． Enjoy a resort stay with all-inclusive

In addition to buffet-style dinner and breakfast, drinks containing alcohol in restaurants and lounges, large public baths and activities equipped with saunas are included, so you can enjoy the resort stay as much as you want. In summer (mid-July to the end of August), the pool is also available free of charge.
