It is an island located at the southern end of Tateyama Bay and is one of Minamiboso Quasi-National Parks.
On the small island with a circumference of about 1 km, rocky and sandy beaches are mixed and you can enjoy fishing. Shimauchi is a nature island where coastal flora and fauna coexist.
From snorkeling that can be enjoyed by beginners, observation of corals in the northernmost region of the world, guided tours to know the Jomon Sea ruins about 8,000 years ago, various experience menus based on the island, and ways to enjoy Okinoshima.
Also, in Tateyama Bay, where the waves are calm and quiet, you can see Mount Fuji and the Sagami Mountains from the coast over the flat waves, and the sunset overlooking Mount Fuji is especially spectacular.
